What we do
LGBTQHealthcare is a national directory for finding LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare providers. We help patients locate mental health professionals, primary care physicians, gender-affirming care specialists, sexual health providers, and family-building practices that are publicly identified as welcoming to LGBTQ+ patients.
The directory covers providers across all 50 states and Washington, DC, with thousands of listed locations across hundreds of cities.
Why it exists
Finding healthcare can be stressful for anyone. For LGBTQ+ patients, there is an additional layer of uncertainty: will this provider understand my needs? Will I be treated with respect? Is this practice experienced with my specific care?
LGBTQHealthcare exists to reduce that uncertainty — so patients can arrive at an appointment with more confidence and less anxiety.
What we cover
The directory is organized across five care categories:
- Mental Health — therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists
- Gender-Affirming Care — hormone therapy, trans care, gender-diverse patient services
- Primary Care — welcoming primary care physicians and practices
