About this directory

How listings work

How providers are included

Providers in this directory are included based on publicly available information indicating LGBTQ+ affirming services or practices. This may include:

  • Published statements of LGBTQ+ affirming care on a practice’s website
  • Listed participation in LGBTQ+ health programs or community resources
  • Publicly identified specialization in gender-affirming care, sexual health, or related services
  • Community health directories and verified referral networks
  • Provider submissions reviewed by the LGBTQHealthcare team

Inclusion is based on available information at the time of listing and may not reflect changes to a practice’s services, staff, or policies. Provider information is reviewed and updated over time as corrections and new information become available.

What “publicly affirming” means

When we describe a provider as publicly affirming, we mean that the provider has publicly indicated — through their website, directory listings, or community presence — that their practice welcomes and serves LGBTQ+ patients.

This is not a certification, a personal vetting, or a guarantee. It means the provider has made this information publicly available and we have included them based on that public record.

What this directory is — and isn’t

LGBTQHealthcare is an informational directory. It is not:

  • A medical referral service
  • An endorsement of any provider
  • A guarantee of any specific experience of care
  • A substitute for your own assessment of a provider

A listing here means a provider appears in publicly available records as LGBTQ+ affirming. It does not mean LGBTQHealthcare has personally visited, interviewed, or verified every provider listed.

Verifying provider information

Before scheduling with any provider, we encourage you to confirm directly:

  • That the provider is currently accepting new patients
  • That they accept your insurance or offer payment options that work for you
  • That they offer the specific services you are looking for
  • Their current address, phone number, and hours
  • Any specific LGBTQ+ affirming practices or certifications they hold

Provider information changes. A practice may have moved, changed staff, or updated its services since the listing was created or last reviewed.
