Privacy Policy

Overview

LGBTQHealthcare (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at lgbtqhealthcare.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and your choices.

We operate a public informational directory. We do not require you to create an account to browse or search the directory.

Information we collect

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects information such as:

• Pages visited and time spent on pages
• Referring websites
• General geographic location (country, region, city — not precise location)
• Browser type and operating system
• Device type

This data is collected through cookies placed by Google Analytics. It is processed by Google and governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. We use this data in aggregate to improve the site and understand usage patterns. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Submission form data

If you submit information through the Add a Provider form, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• An optional phone number
• Provider information you submit (practice name, location, website, category)
• A message describing your request

This information is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) and used only to process your submission — for example, to add or correct a listing, or to respond to your inquiry. We do not use submission data for marketing purposes.

Submissions are also sent via email notification to the LGBTQHealthcare team for review, using Resend (a transactional email service).

Community provider recommendations

When you recommend an affirming provider, we collect your name and email, the provider details you choose to share, and any optional private note. We use this information to review the recommendation, identify existing listings and contact you for clarification. Your name, email and private note are not published on the provider’s listing.

Recommendation records are stored in Supabase and sent to our review team through Resend. We retain these records as long as necessary to review the recommendation and maintain accurate records. Please do not include diagnoses, medical records, medications, medical history or other unnecessary sensitive health information.

Contact form data

When you use our general Contact form, we receive your name, email address, selected inquiry topic and message. We use this information to receive, review, respond to and manage general questions, partnership inquiries and privacy or legal inquiries.

Contact messages are sent through Resend to our monitored Google Workspace email account. We use your email address so we can reply to you. We do not store these Contact messages in our application database as part of this form's delivery process.

Please do not submit medical records, detailed health or medical information, emergency information, or other unnecessary sensitive healthcare information through the general Contact form. This form is not intended for healthcare advice, emergencies or crisis support.

Care request data

If you use the Help Me Find Care feature, we collect the following information to help understand your need and identify potential providers:

• The type of care you are looking for (selected from a fixed list of categories)
• Your state and, optionally, your city
• Whether you are open to telehealth

Providing contact information through this feature is entirely optional. If you choose to request personal follow-up, you may also provide:

• Your first name
• An email address
• A phone number
• A preferred contact method (email, call, or text)

You can use Help Me Find Care, receive provider suggestions, and submit your request without providing any of the above contact information.

We do not collect last name, date of birth, diagnoses, medications, medical history, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other sensitive health information through this feature.

Care request data is stored securely and is not publicly accessible. It is used only to:

• Understand where affirming care is most needed
• Follow up with you about care options, if you provided contact information
• Inform directory growth and provider outreach decisions

If you provided contact information, we may reach out once about care options in your area. We will not use it for marketing purposes or share it with third parties. LGBTQHealthcare is an informational provider directory and does not provide medical advice, emergency services, or clinical referrals.

Enhanced subscriptions and practice media

Billing privacy additions effective September 29, 2026. Stripe processes payment details through its hosted checkout and billing services. Our application database does not store full card numbers or card security codes. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

We process account information, private customer and billing identifiers, subscription status and related records to administer subscriptions, reconcile paid access, provide support and prevent payment abuse. These identifiers are not public directory fields.

Supabase stores private Enhanced drafts and practice media. Approved content may be displayed on an eligible Enhanced listing. Enhanced-only content and media are retained privately for 12 months after Enhanced access ends. Financial records may be retained separately as needed for accounting, disputes and legal obligations. Cancellation is separate from a privacy deletion request; your Free listing continues.

Use our Contact page for access, correction or deletion requests, subject to applicable retention obligations.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga and related cookies) to distinguish visitors and track sessions. These cookies persist across browser sessions.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or remarketing cookies. We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for advertising purposes.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the directory
• Understand how the site is being used in aggregate
• Process listing submissions, corrections, and inquiries
• Receive, review, respond to and manage general questions, partnership inquiries and privacy or legal inquiries submitted through our Contact form

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the site:

• Supabase — database hosting for provider data, listing submissions and care requests
• Google Analytics — site analytics
• Resend — transactional email delivery for form submissions, including Contact messages
• Google Workspace — business email used to receive and manage Contact messages and replies
• Cloudflare Turnstile — spam and abuse protection for forms

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

Data retention

Listing submission and care request data is retained in our database for as long as necessary to process your request and maintain accurate records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default retention settings.

Contact communications may remain in email delivery systems, business email systems and related records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and manage inquiries, support business operations, or meet legal or compliance needs.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted to us through our form. To make such a request, contact us through the Contact page.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will respond to all legitimate rights requests.
