LGBTQHealthcare (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at lgbtqhealthcare.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and your choices.

We operate a public informational directory. We do not require you to create an account to browse or search the directory.

Information we collect

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects information such as:

• Pages visited and time spent on pages
• Referring websites
• General geographic location (country, region, city — not precise location)
• Browser type and operating system
• Device type

This data is collected through cookies placed by Google Analytics. It is processed by Google and governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. We use this data in aggregate to improve the site and understand usage patterns. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Submission form data

If you submit information through the Add a Provider form, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• An optional phone number
• Provider information you submit (practice name, location, website, category)
• A message describing your request

This information is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) and used only to process your submission — for example, to add or correct a listing, or to respond to your inquiry. We do not use submission data for marketing purposes.

Submissions are also sent via email notification to the LGBTQHealthcare team for review, using Resend (a transactional email service).

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga and related cookies) to distinguish visitors and track sessions. These cookies persist across browser sessions.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or remarketing cookies. We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for advertising purposes.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the directory
• Understand how the site is being used in aggregate
• Process listing submissions, corrections, and inquiries
• Respond to questions submitted through our form

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the site:

• Supabase — database hosting for provider data and form submissions
• Google Analytics — site analytics
• Resend — transactional email delivery for form submissions

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

Data retention

Form submission data is retained in our database for as long as necessary to process your request and maintain accurate records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default retention settings.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted to us through our form. To make such a request, contact us through the Contact page.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will respond to all legitimate rights requests.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us through the Contact page.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
