LGBTQ+ Healthcare in Tallahassee

My approach to LGBTQIA+ affirming care goes beyond simply being welcoming. I recognize that identity, relationships, family, community, healthcare experiences, discrimination, minority stress, and broader social environments can all affect mental health and well-being. I work with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and adults across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness and pain, suicidal ideation, identity exploration, coming out, relationships, life transitions, self-worth, and experiences of stigma or exclusion. Therapy does not assume that LGBTQIA+ identity is the source of distress. My practice is also neurodiversity affirming and disability affirming. I respect each person's language, identities, relationships, values, autonomy, and understanding of themselves. My goal is to provide a space where clients do not have to educate their therapist about why affirming care matters before they can begin doing the work that brought them to therapy.
