Sexual Health in Detroit

AIDS Healthcare Foundation operates a national network of outpatient Healthcare Centers providing HIV/AIDS primary care, HIV testing, and STI diagnosis and treatment. Healthcare Centers serve patients regardless of ability to pay. AHF also operates wellness centers and pharmacies providing HIV prevention and sexual health services across the United States.

Corktown Health is Michigan's first and only LGBTQ+-focused medical home, offering primary care, HIV care and treatment, gender-affirming care, PrEP and PEP, STI testing and treatment, and behavioral health services. The clinic actively trains the next generation of LGBTQ+-affirming clinicians in partnership with Wayne State University and the University of Michigan. Corktown accepts most insurance plans and provides services regardless of ability to pay.

Henry Ford Health has earned the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's designation as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader and offers a comprehensive transgender health program across multiple Detroit-area locations. Services include primary care for transgender adults and youth, gender-affirming hormone therapy, surgical consultations including vaginoplasty and top surgery, voice therapy, laser hair removal, and fertility preservation. The LGBTQ health team also provides HIV care and PrEP prevention services.

LGBT Detroit provides free mental health therapy and health wellness services specifically tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Licensed therapists offer compassionate, confidential care addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, coming-out support, and identity affirmation at no cost to community members in need. The organization also connects clients to primary care, HIV prevention services, and other community resources.
